Andrew picked up his first carpet layer's tools at 18 and spent years mastering the trade before taking the leap to build something of his own. In 2022, he and Lisa - partners in business and in life - opened the doors to ALS Flooring Solutions. The name ALS says it all: Andrew, Lisa, and their daughter Stella. This business is personal. Together they built their Willawong flooring shop from the ground up, bringing Andrew's trade expertise and Lisa's sharp eye for operations to create something Brisbane's south side was missing: a flooring business that combines real trade knowledge with the kind of old-fashioned service that seems harder and harder to find these days.

Completing the team is Dean - who grew up in his family's Sydney carpet shop from the age of 16, learning the trade from his father before it was even a career choice. It was Dean who first supervised Andrew during his apprenticeship, passing on the kind of hands-on knowledge that only comes from a lifetime in the industry. Some things come full circle.

Between them, Andrew and Dean bring over 60 years of combined flooring experience to every single job. They know every product, every supplier, and just about everyone worth knowing in the industry. So whether you visit our Willawong showroom or we come to you, you're not talking to a salesperson reading off a brochure, you're talking to people who've lived and breathed flooring their entire working lives
